Alternatively you can take the Norwegian Coastal Express service; Hurtigruten, from Bergen to Kirkenes, visiting ports and harbours on the way.  

Hurtigruten boats call at 11 different ports along the coast of Finnmark every day.

TRAVELLING BY CAR
If you are planning your trip to Finnmark by car, it is quite a distance driving, but a beautiful way to see Norway. You can follow rout E6 all the way from Oslo to Finnmark Norwegian Lapland. The distance from Oslo to North Cape is 2147 km.
